LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub | Gotta Love

Hello everyone!

Yes, I am ‘back’, indeed! It’s been getting busier and busier around here, so I’ve been really short on time. I hope this post kinda makes up for it…. πŸ˜€

Time for another ‘gotta love‘ post! YAY!

Today, I’ll be talking about the infamous Bubblegum Sugar Lip Scrub by LUSH!

Everyone and their mothers has basically tried and praised this product, so when I went out to get it, my standard bar was set high. And it’s totally worth the hype! Why? Well, let me tell you why. πŸ˜‰

I got this product in May and it was around 8€ which I do think was a little much for such a tiny product.

I use this product quite frequently – every time I wear lipstick, I use it before putting it on and after taking it off. I

Application: It’s incredibly easy to apply this product – you don’t need a lot at all, I’d even say that less is more in this case. And even if you do end up using a bit more than necessary, don’t worry, as it’s edible!

The Packaging:Β I really love the way this product was packaged – the little glass jar is super cute and easy to carry around, whether you’re traveling or just out.

The Dating: I’ve never talked about this before, but I figured since this is a LUSH product (and they’re natural and have expiration dates) I should touch on the date. I got this in May (2015.) and it expires on theΒ 05.07.2016. That is pretty freaking good. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when LUSH products expire way too soon for you to use all of them. (*cough* their cleansers *cough*)

The Formula: I love the way this product feels – it’s not uncomfortable or heavy. It is a bit harsh, so if you have sensitive lips, you might need to be a little bit more gentle.

The Effect: It makes my lips feel clean and not chapped, so I’d definitely give this product a go if you’re struggling with dry, chapped lips. I also use a lip balm afterwards, to polish everything off.

The Price: This is where I’m on the fence – the original price isΒ 8€, which is really steep for a product of this size. But after all, LUSH products are usually on the more expensive side.

Overall thoughts: This is a great product and I recommend it 100% – if you’ve got the funds and are debating whether or not you should get it, you should go for it. You will not be disappointed.

  1. I have the MintJulips lip scrub, and I might pick the bubblegum one up after I have finished that (if I ever do, as you say it lasts forever!).
I am the same as you, I thought they were expensive, but they last forever!
The mint one is really lovely, I’d definitely recommend it! Xx

Hahaha, same here, would love to try the Mint as well as the Christmas exclusive – Santa’s Lip Scrub. (I think that’s what it’s called) They just seem so blimmin’ good! πŸ˜€
