August Favourites (Beauty, Makeup, Skincare)

It’s that time of the month again! No, no, not that time of the month – the time when everyone posts their favourites. 🙂 I love reading those posts, so it’s just like Christmas to me, whippie! 😀

I’ll stop rambling now and get on with the post. 🙂

1) Rimmel 25h Powder Foundation (002 Clair)

My go-to base this month has been concealer with this powder foundation on top. It’s not cakey and doesn’t feel heavy at all! It’s also pale enough for me, so that’s a plus. 🙂 I do look quite ‘dead’ with only that on, but that creates the perfect base for blusher!

2) Kiko Baked Blusher (03 Wild Mauve)

This is an incredibly pretty blusher, which works really well with my pale skintone. I have a ‘ramble session’ about this product already up on the blog, so if you want to see swatches and why it’s so incredible, click here.

3) Benefit ‘Roller Lash’ Mascara

Okay, it was completely evident that I’d be putting this in my favourites. I got it quite recently, so I haven’t been using it for the longest time, but it’s still my favourite mascara I’ve tried. I actually had to think did I only get this product this month or have I had it for longer, because it feels like I’ve always used it, haha. 😀

4) MaxFactor Lip Liner – 04 Raspberry

I’ve discovered this quite recently, as well, and have been wearing it non-stop in this past month… And I’ve been wearing it with….

5) Sante Lipstick – No. 24

… this! Those are both such beautiful colours, but I won’t ramble about it too much because it will be featured in another post. 😉

6) The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Wash

I’ve had this product lying around for a long time, but I feel like I’ve used it every single day in August. It’s almost out and I don’t know what I’ll do without it!

7) Makeup Sponges

This has been a recent discovery and I’m so glad about it! It’s changed the way my base looks – now it has a really ‘airbrush’-y finish to it. I do use them wet, though. 🙂 Even though these spongest are super cheap (from Primark), they still work. Will have to find a Beauty Blender one of these days, but they don’t sell them here!
