Hello everyone! π
So, how many of you are going back to school soon? And how many of your schools don’t allow makeup? Well, I’ve gotcha, boo!
These are some drugstore products that create the ‘no-makeup makeup look’, perfect if you’re not allowed lots of/any makeup. π
1) The Face:
The most important thing is the canvas, since we won’t be doing anything dramatic to the eyes/lips.
–Β Base
I’d personally suggest BB or CC creams, especially if you’re going to be putting makeup on every day, as they are lighter than foundations, but still have decent coverage. And besides, foundation usually disappears after a little period of time, leaving your face feeling disgusting and clogged.
Here are my recommendations:
–Β Concealer
If you have any spots you might wake up and want to cover them up. I still haven’t found the perfect concealer, but have heard of a few good ones.
Collection Lasting Perfection
Maybelline Fit Me
[ if you don’t want to purchase concealer, building up the coverage of your BB/CC cream/foundation can work just fine. π ]
I’d avoid:
–Β Blusher
This is the step that will make you look alive and well. π
My current favourite blusher is by Kiko and it’s their Baked Blush in the shade 03 Wild Mauve. It’s a bit more pricey, though, but I’d say it’s worth it.
… and some that I’ve heard about, yet never tried:
Bourjois Cream Blushers
Rimmel Stay Blushed
2) The Eyes
– Β Mascara
This is what makes the eyes look so much better. I never understood the mascara hype but then I decided to just put makeup on oneΒ half of my face and holly molly! It makes such a difference! Here are some mascara recommendations:
Maybelline Great Lash (perfect everyday mascara – I waffled about it here)
…. and the ones that are super praised, but that I haven’t tried yet:
Maybelline Lash Sensation
Maybelline Rocket Vollume
3) Lips:
The most fun part, yay!
For the lips, I’d go for either a tinted lip balm, a lip gloss or a nude lipstick. Anything light, basically.
Tinted lip balms:
Nivea/Labello – the widest selection of tinted lip balms in Europe, I’m pretty sure.
Baby Lips – the ever-so-popular product – Peach Kiss seems like a great nude colour. Just watch out for the neon colours – they really are way too bright. (for my skin tone; Fruit Punch doesn’t suit me at all!)
Lip Glosses:
NYX Butter Gloss – I’m not sure if this is from the high street, but their glosses are incredible. I have mine in the shade Apple Strudel and it’s the perfect ‘nude’/pinkish-coral shade for me.
Lipsticks:
Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks –Β nothing beats a good Rimmel lipstick. π
And that’s all for today, folks! I hope you enjoyed this post. π
(When) are you going back to school?
Thanks for reading!
Have a lovely day! π

Such a fun post! I LOVE that blush – I’ve always used blush from Lancome but I am quite impressed with this baby; might just need to switch over.

Can always rely on Bourjois! The Heathy Balance foundation is lovely too for a light, daily foundation!

Yes, it’s such a good brand! π
Oh, I haven’t tried that one yet, probably due to the fact that I can’t seem to find the right shade… * story of my life *

Oh you have to! I believe the shades are the same just with different numbers to the healthy balance and CC cream – so hopefully you can! x

I’m going back to uni on September 21st but I honestly go for the winged liner and bold lip look daily: it helps me stay alert, confident, and determined throughout the day.
Thank you for your post, it has so many products I’d like to try now! π

Oh, good luck!
That’s a lovely look!
I personally like to go for a bold lip, too, like you said, it helps me stay confident, which is so important!
Still didn’t start doing eyeliner daily, though, just in case a professor has something against that, for some reason.
I didn’t include it here because, to my understanding, most schools don’t allow (that much) makeup…
I was thinking of doing a bolder version, though, with my favourite red, brown, etc lipsticks. π
Oh, yay! I’m so glad you liked it. π
Thank YOU for reading. π

I would definitely enjoy seeing your everyday makeup look! And your bold lip choices! #futureblogpostideas
My uni is quite big and liberal, which I love, and my school rarely made an issue out of what we were wearing on our bodies or faces, which I really appreciated! (Unless someone actually came in wearing inappropriate clothing, like a boy once came in just wearing boxers and a sheet wrapped around him.) I’ve been wearing black eye pencil since I was 13, and eyeliner since 15, so I’ve years of practice!
You have a lovely day, too, doll π x

Hehe, #YAYforfutureblogpostideas π
Oh, that’s incredible! We had a teacher tell off a girl because she came with ‘dark makeup’ and a guy was sent home because his trousers were “short”. (they came up to his calves) So you could say it’s pretty messed up, haha π
Oh, gosh, really? That must’ve been… interesting/disturbing/mentally scaring.Haha!
That’s all it takes, you achieve a certain skill level with years of practice. π
Thank you! π

That’s horrible. I realise I’ve been incredibly lucky and privileged as well, but that seems like too much – to send kids home for things like that? (Meghan Hughes, the YouTuber, posted an editorial on slut shaming on her twitter the other day, you might like it, so check it out! It touches on standards of girls’/ women’s clothes in school in particular)
